How to receive the Gift
of Eternal Life and get to Heaven.
INTRODUCING
 |
I want to introduce you to two IMPORTANT people. The first person is someone you know
quite well. Yes, the first IMPORTANT person is; |
YOU
|
I want to talk about a relationship you can have with the other IMPORTANT person. This
relationship is one based on true LOVE. Not the romantic "Love you and Leave
you" type, but the kind that sticks with you through the Good Times and the Bad. The
other person in the relationship is: |
GOD
|
When I ask people "How would you start a relationship with God or get to
Heaven?" they usually say; |
a) Go to church.
b) Be religious.
c) Do good.
|
But we can't get through to God because of a HUGE "BARRIER". |
|
What is this Barrier? It is... |
SIN
|
What is SIN? |
|
To understand what SIN is look at the middle letter of the word "SIN". Yes
it's the letter... |
"I"
|
"I" am the problem. "I want to do what I want". "I don't want
to do what God wants". That is SIN! |
|
Not one of us can get through this "SIN" Barrier. Therefore we can NOT go to Heaven. That is the
situation everyone of us is in! |
|
Is there any "HOPE"? |
"YES"
|
Jesus Christ broke through the "SIN" Barrier by dying on the cross and paying
the penalty for SIN Himself. |
|
He became my "SUBSTITUTE" and your "SUBSTITUTE". |
|
In a football game a "Substitute" takes the place of the player who cannot
play the game. Jesus Christ became your "Substitute" and took your place when He
died to pay the penalty for your SIN. |
|
God can and will "Forgive" our "SIN" because Jesus' blood was shed
on our behalf. |
|
My "SIN" is completely "Forgiven" when I "Trust in
Christ"! |
|
How can I "Trust in Christ" and have my "SIN" forgiven, and be sure
of going to Heaven? |
|
It's as easy as A B C. Let me show you... |
A.
ADMIT your SIN... You need to admit it to God. Just tell Him it's true. Say - "Yes
God, I am a sinner".
B.
BELIEVE in Christ. That means to believe He is the Son of God, that He died for you,
that He rose again from the dead, and was seen alive by over 500 people, and that He's
coming back one day. The Bible says - "That if you confess with your mouth,
"Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved." Romans chapter 10 verse 9.
C.
CALL on the Lord. That means pray...speak to God and ask Him to save you. The Bible
says "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans chapter
10 verse 13).
What to pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that you
died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite you to come into my heart and
life. I want to trust you as Saviour and Lord. Amen. |

Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? If you did where is He right
now? What do you have? |
|
The Bible says... "He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God
does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God
so that you may know that you have eternal life." 1 John chapter 5 verse 12 - 13. |
